Project Details:

Lahey was engaged as the Head Contractor for the construction of a new Connected Learning Centre (CLC) at the Nambucca TAFE campus, to provide locals with high-quality, technology-supported and practical and convenient training linked to job outcomes.

Special features of the CLC include the large group learning areas with flexible dividers to change the space required as needed, and the large classroom space connected to the outdoor area where mobile training units can be parked – allowing for specialised onsite training.

Works included the demolition of an existing fast food building to allow the CLC to be constructed, and involved the removal of existing in-ground footings and capping off, and the diversion and reconnection of all services. Associated external works included feature landscaping and the installation of a grade level carpark.
