Project Details:

Despite the complexities of working in a live airport environment, all works were carried out without interruption to the fully operational airport, with Lahey completing the project on time and within budget.

Lahey provided a detailed security plan with specific security measures including the separation of, and access between, airside and landside operations; separation of international and domestic passengers for arrivals and departures; passenger and airline staff entry and egress; separation of passenger and construction workers; and establishment of construction compound and associated plant and equipment.

Lahey ensured all passenger, airport staff and vehicular traffic access to the terminal building were maintained in full operation and not disrupted in any way. The total refurbishment area was approximately 4,454m2.
