Celebrating a semisesquicentennial is a pretty big deal (especially if you know what it means!). It’s an even bigger deal when you realise that Lahey Constructions is one of only a handful of the 360,000 construction businesses across Australia to achieve that milestone.

If you haven’t googled it yet, we’re talking about our 75th anniversary. What’s more, if you go back to Lahey’s humble beginnings as a local joinery (established in 1938), we’ve been around even longer. Since Lahey Constructions was formed in 1946 our business has continued to go from strength to strength, and we’d like to share with you the secret to our longevity and success – our staff.

Lahey would not be the highly respected Best Practice, federally accredited builder it is today without the commitment and passion of our loyal employees who continue to strive for excellence.

A staggering 60% of our team have been with us for five years or longer and over one third of our people have been with us ten years or more, collectively averaging more than 17 years of service each. To us, that’s an even bigger deal than our 75th birthday and a status probably unmatched by any other construction firm.

So today we celebrate our staff, for their expertise, passion, and dedication, and give thanks and appreciation to every one of our loyal employees. Team Lahey, you are what makes our company great!
