Charles Sturt University | Stage 2 Officially Opened

Lahey Construction’s Project Manager Bill Maley and Contracts Administrator Ken Foran recently attended Charles Sturt University Port Macquarie to celebrate the fruition of Stage 2 at the thriving regional campus. NSW Premier, the Hon. Gladys Berejiklian and Port Macquarie MP, the Hon. Leslie Williams, were among the distinguished guests who officiated at the opening ceremony and paid homage to the excellent design and construction delivered by Architecture BVN, Savills, and Lahey Constructions. The state-of-the-art project has increased campus capacity at the popular regional university from 1,000 to 2,800 students – making it the largest international campus in NSW outside the metropolitan cities.…

Project Opening | Country Universities Centre Macleay Valley

Lahey Constructions is excited to announce the Country Universities Centre (CUC) Macleay Valley project celebrated its official opening on April 30. The CUC represents a new era of learning, providing support services for the 300 local students that have opted to study externally. There is widespread support for the State funded facility, with local Federal MP Pat Conaghan and Kempsey Mayor Liz Campbell amongst those present at the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Practical Completion | SCAS Sustainability & Environmental Centre

Lahey Constructions is thrilled to add another project to its extensive education portfolio, with the award of practical completion on the St Columba Anglican School Sustainability and Environmental Centre. The works were successfully delivered by our talented regional staff, receiving praise from the school regarding their tremendous efforts. The project included multi-purpose learning spaces, an outdoor Kitchen (future)/learning area, breakout spaces, wet areas, landscaping, and covered walkways. Project Completion | CSU Port Macquarie Stage 2A

Lahey is delighted to announce the completion of Stage 2A Main Building works at Charles Sturt Universities’ Port Macquarie Campus. The Stage 2A development comprised the design and construction of a number of state-of-the-art tiered and flat-floored learning and teaching spaces, a laboratory, multiple breakout and collaborative meeting spaces, kitchens and amenities, an events space, a gymnasium, and additional car parking. Lahey has successfully delivered the Salamander Bay Senior Housing in Port Stephens, NSW achieving practical completion and occupancy. The new retirement village was developed to allow the new buildings to fit contextually into the existing low density precinct. Terrace Gardens Official Opening

Lahey’s Keith Manning and Mick Cardile were proud to attend the official opening of the Terrace Gardens Residential Aged Care facility in Palmerston, NT recently. Built by Lahey, the project involved a 32-bed extension to the existing facility including an expansion of the kitchen and central dining and lounge areas. We were thrilled to work with the teams at Blue Care, Hodgkison Architects and Australian Regional and Remote Community Services Ltd on this fantastic project. Joynton Avenue Creative Precinct Completion

Congratulations to the Green Square project team on reaching a major milestone, completion of the new Joynton Avenue Creative Precinct. The former iconic South Sydney Hospital site has been transformed into a creative hub for the community to enjoy. The heritage listed Esme Cahill Building now known as the JACC (Joynton Avenue Creative Centre) building, was originally built in 1936 and used as nurse’s accommodation.  In succession of the detailed refurbishment works, this building is now home to community and art centre spaces.  As pictured, the building features 7 copper clad awnings that are internally lined with ‘Black Butt’ timber…
