Lahey are proud to announce that our 1st Year Apprentice Carpenter, Rachael Hamilton, has been shortlisted in the Women in Construction awards category for the Australian Construction Awards. The Women in Construction award, to be announced on 14th March, celebrates the outstanding contribution by any company, individual or project that is paving the way for women in the construction industry.

With over 69 years’ experience in the industry, we pride ourselves on our progressive story and we recognise that our people are the most valuable asset. We therefore are constantly looking to diversify and develop our people across all parts of the business. Our project teams are uniquely diverse with female representation ranging from trade roles onsite just like Rachael, to Administrative and Senior Management roles across our offices.

As 1st Year Apprentice Carpenter, Rachael has already demonstrated not only her determination, passion and energetic approach to her work; but also her aspirations to one day lead peer-support programs for fellow females in trade roles and to advocate for women’s participation and support across the industry.

Congratulations again Rachael, keep up the great work!
