Contract Award – Central Sydney Intensive English High School

Lahey Constructions has been awarded the contract for the new build and refurbishment of one of Sydney’s oldest public schools. The Alexandria Park Community School, originally established back in 1890, will be redeveloped and become the new home for the Central Sydney Intensive English High School.

The rejuvenated facility will feature a new build three-storey teaching space with a gymnasium that will seamlessly link into the existing refurbished Block D building. The new space will also accommodate general and specialist learning spaces including food technology, art, science, music and performance space as well as a library and hall. The learning environment will boast the latest learning technology and reflect future-focused learning principles to enhance the study of the intensive English language curriculum. The learning environment is designed to be flexible to cater for different learning and teaching methodologies and to adapt to the fluctuation in student numbers over the academic year.

We look forward to working with School Infrastructure NSW to deliver a facility of the highest standard for the school and the local community.
