Lahey Constructions attended the 2017 Master Builders Association (MBA) Awards evening held last weekend at the Star Event Centre. Thank you to MBA for putting on a spectacular night at this year’s Gala Dinner, as always a great night was had by all!

Lahey would like to congratulate the Harbord Public School – New Facilities project team, who won the category for ‘Public Schools up to $15, 000,000’. This was a challenging project working adjacent to a live school site however the Principal and staff at the school were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the project which allowed a seamless handover of the completed building for the start of the 2017 new academic year.

Special thanks go to all the consultants, subcontractors and suppliers engaged on the project. Lead by Collard Maxwell Architects, this design which was one of the last projects initially designed by the Governments Architect Office, it has exceeded expectations of both internal and external stakeholders, with the design now setting the benchmark and leading the way in respect of design of future school facilities.

The new school facility introduces new and advanced learning techniques, using the space and furniture to create flexible, learning environments for the staff and students.

MBA Judge Comments; ‘This difficult project is complemented by the exceptional high quality standard of finish. The team at Lahey Construction has delivered a state-of-the-art school facility.

Lahey are proud to have built this next generation teaching facility in collaboration with Root Partnerships, Department of Education and Harbord Public School.
